Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay's birthplace was Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Reared in the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay directed her ingenious writing talents as well as her remarkable research skills to creating the brilliant psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title The Only Man knows My History. That title was taken from a funeral speech delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked those he addressed with the words"You don't even know me." I never told you about my heart. My story is not known to anyone. In reality, I don't know. Fawn (29 year old) stated that in the time she has been honest since the moment she made her statement Three hundred writers have responded to the event. Some have deified and abused the man, and others attempt to identify the issue. The problem isn't that there aren't enough documents but they're rather inconsistent. The process of assembling these documents, by sifting through third-party and first-hand sources and fitting Mormons' narratives to other people's historical context - can be a challenge. I find it both fascinating and eye-opening. Fawn brodie was professionally committed to this task. Thaddeus Stewards was the outcome of her writing and research led her to become a known author. The Devil's Drive (1959) The Southern Scourge. The life of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon and An Intimate Historical History (1974).
