Sheryl Underwood is an American actress, comedian and television host most well-known for her work as the Talk's co-host for daytime. Sheryl was raised within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised in an extremely difficult household. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her older sister Frankie with an illness called polio. As a teenager, she experienced a difficult relationship with her mom. Sheryl claims that in the past, her mother would stab her father over the head because she was becoming too close to her. Sheryl was drafted into the military upon her college graduation. However her interest lay in comedy. It was her first time as a female who made it to the 1989 competition Miller Lite Comedy Search. In 1992, she made her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000. In 2011, she began making appearances as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. In addition she has also been in fictional roles on shows including Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
