Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. Her initial success was enhanced by her appearance on a few popular series. There, she portrayed the evil Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles for the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. Her performance was outstanding in the role of Japanese gangster O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In the meanwhile, she was also in the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to play characters that were prominent in animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which failed to have any impact. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu is extremely cautious when selecting her roles in order that she does not become the victim of a highly competition-driven industry. Liu has accepted her Chinese roots however she has not let them restrict her creativity.
