Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer, recognized as a member of the band One Direction. His parents include Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was born on the 1st day of February, 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates, he founded his own band, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. While he's always attracted to the arts, he hoping to be an lawyer or physical therapist. Part-time work in a city bakery was his first occupation in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 to The X Factor. Because of this, the group he was in had to be separated. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the candidates to win the award. However, they came in third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not take home the prize. However Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
