Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a struggling family that would one day have 12 children. Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Her songs were written before she could write or read. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. As a teenager when she was 11, she began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. The first album she recorded was during the same year Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. The singer established a name for herself in the local scene while still at high school, yet she dreamed of performing on a bigger stage. After graduating from high school in 1964, she immediately relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. It was around this time that Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on his television show that was syndicated. Parton was hired in 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton sang I Will Always love You for Wagoner following their split. It reached No. The first time it made it to Number 1 was in 1974.
