Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the difficulties of her life thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Before she could write and read and compose, she wrote her own music. She bought her first guitar when she was just 8 years old and began performing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at eleven years old. That same year when she began recording her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. When she was still in highschool she made her name locally but longed to be on a bigger stage. When she was graduating in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to be a part of his syndicated show at this point. Parton accepted the job in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and began singing for in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The show ended in 1974, as her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton After the dissolution of their partnership with Wagoner She wrote her hit song I Will Always Love You and had it reach No. 1 for the very first time in 1974.
