Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of skills, such as being able perform, direct, produce, write plays as well as teach and serve as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's first memories of attending rehearsals for play as well as watching her mother's working. As a young child, she was featured in various commercials. Anna was transferred to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Anna was introduced to Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' training held in Los Angeles, and they were engaged in 2009. Anna was converted to Judaism in the month of January, 2011, and the couple renewed their vows at an Jewish wedding in Fredericton. Bo's love affair with Lauren, portrayed by Zoie Parker, was featured on CNN's list of the Top Television Couples of All Time and named as E!'s Top Television Couple for 2013.
